Our Service Dog: Arwen "Alli"

"Arwen likes dressing up and taking photos, she is another model in the making. This is her first fitting for a service vest today."

-Update on Arwen (renamed Alli) from Linda, BFF Dog Training Diabetes Alert Dogs trainer for diabetic alert dogs.

"She is scent trained and started with obedience. She will be getting her CGC very soon with her new family. She is doing great!"

"It's official Alli is staying here and my work here is done. Time for the vacation to begin. Alli did more alert practice training in the bedroom. She did great and her new family is great."

Hi Cody and Sara,

I hope you and your family are well!
Salah (previously Cream from Sebastian and Rosy’s spring 2022 litter) is one year old already! We thought we would send you an update and a few of our favorite photos!

Our long-legged beauty is 50lbs of soft, curly fluff. She is the absolute best dog, and so great with our two small children. She’s playful, loves everyone, gentle, and such a cuddle bug! Her favorite things are venturing to the dog park, snuggles on the couch with mom, and helping dad wake the kids for school in the morning.

I can't imagine our lives without her! We are so grateful for the wonderful home you gave the puppies, and for bringing Salah into our lives!

With love and gratitude,

Hi Cody & Sara -

We hope you and your family are doing well! We wanted to send you an update on Lola (previously Violet) on her 1st birthday!

Lola has been the greatest gift Ryan and I could have imagined! Lola has brought so much love and joy to not only us but both of our families! She has topped at about 50lbs and still has her adorable white patches on her nose and chest. She loves playing with toys, kids, and every dog no matter their size. Her favorite thing to do at the park is steal other dogs toys so that they'll chase her around! She is sassy and smart but also so loving and sweet and we don't know what we did without her!

We are so thankful for you both and appreciate the care you put into taking care of each puppy! Attached are a few of our favorite photos of Lola. We hope you enjoy!

Hi there, Cody and Sara!

We are approaching Hazel's first birthday in a couple of months, and it seems she's slowing down growing too, about 46 pounds right now.

She's had a couple of groomings and of course looks like a totally different dog but wanted to share some pictures and let you know that you can definitely use that email I sent previously in this thread on your website or however would be helpful to you. And here's more, if helpful:

Hazel (formerly Lilac) is such a gift to our family! She is everything we didn't know was missing. The joy we can't wait to wake up to and the loyal companion throughout the day.
The first comment most people make when they see her is on her coat color (beautiful copper red) and then her wonderful nature... With consistent training she is becoming very well mannered. We've been surprised how quickly she'll pick up a new skill or learn a new rule, she's very eager to please her people. We are excited to celebrate her first birthday right around the corner!

Hi Cody and Sara!

I hope you are doing well, I just want to let you know how our little Lottie (formerly Blizten) is doing! She is such a blessing to my fiance and I, we couldn't be happier with her! She is very playful and adventurous, she was already going up and down stairs within her first week with us! She enjoys climbing up the big snow piles and then sliding down them on her belly, and has also found to love snow boots and frequently seeks them out to nap on them!  Since the weather has thawed a bit, she also loves going on walks with us.

She loves all people and dogs, and she is doing great in her puppy obedience class. She has had two vet visits already and the vet says she is in perfect shape! We can't thank you enough for her, she is such a great puppy and we love having her as part of our family!

Best,

We thought it was a good time to update you on Orla, formerly Rosie, now that she is 6 months old!

What a wonderful puppy she is - we really couldn’t have asked for a better doggie. She handled the 1.5 hour car ride home like a pro, and still loves to ride in the car. She also has ridden on a speedboat, canoe, standup paddleboard, and a doggie bike trailer! It’s all fun to her.

She is equal parts energetic and cozy. Just what we were looking for in a family pet. We take her on at least 3 walks a day around the neighborhood where she is on the lookout for her doggie friends to play with, and friendly neighbors to give her some attention. She is the most extroverted creature ever! This summer she won the “Waggiest Tail” award at the Cottagewood Dog Show! Super proud family here. Everyone gushes about how cute she is - like a teddy bear - and such soft curly fur. She loves curling up next to us on the couch and being cooed over.

Thank you so much for starting house training. We experienced only a few accidents in the house during the first 2 weeks home. Then she was good to go! We did make sure we provided her with many opportunities to go potty outside. Within a week after she came home she was sleeping through the night- which shocked us! We used a “snuggle puppy” and a rain sounds app to ease the transition in her crate.

We introduced basic commands and words to her pretty early. She is a quick learner, eager to engage in training. Clearly she is a clever pup and has a lot of training potential. We are looking forward to moving past the basics once she is a bit older. She has not chewed up anything in the house, and really understands what her limits are. We have provided her with plenty of chew toys to satisfy that chewing urge. Amazing how she knows what things laying around the house are for her.

She is already 40lbs! So she might take after her dad! Some estimators put her at almost 70 lbs when full grown  - it will be interesting to see where she lands.

Ok, long email, but we wanted to let you know how thankful we are for your care and attention in breeding and nurturing your puppies. It shows!

Warmly,

The family of Orla Rosamund, Lady of the Lakes, Queen of the Sea (her full given name ;-)

Hello Sara and Cody!

Hope you are doing well and are finally getting some extra rest!  We wanted to send you an update on “Clarice”  whom we renamed  Kacey.  We are just loving her personality as we get to know her each day.  She has done a fantastic job with crate training (slept in it since day 1) and potty training. She loves routines and is already ( in 1 week) learning to come to us when we call and is learning “sit’! She loves the snow and has been such a trooper even in -30 temps this week in MN!  YIKES!

Thank you for all the love and care you give your puppies- it is evident in their fun, curious and playful personalities!

Take care,

Hello,

Ziggy is doing great. We go downtown everyday and he has already gotten used to so many of the loud sounds, many smells and interesting sights of Nantucket in summer.
He is a great sleeper. I bring him to work every day.
He sleeps for a few hours, we go out and play for an hour and then he comes back and sleeps some more. We are active before and after work and he is very agreeable to it all. Nights have also been good.

These are just a few pictures of him so far.
I hope you are all doing well. And the other puppies are adjusting as well my sweet Ziggy.

Take care.

My first trip to the motorcross track to watch my dad ride bike. I sure enjoyed my lawn chair and all the noises never even bothered me. I am learning so much - I can sit, lay down and stand. I love my toys too. I walk so good on my leash and oh I know come when called. My mom says I'm going to be so smart before my first day at training. Thank you for all that you did for me before I went to my new home.

Hi Cody,

Just to keep you up to date on the hard life of a dog!

Mambo’s afternoon activity is lounging by the pool and barking at the gardener and little lizards that go by.   Aside from the barking, he is the sweetest, most lovable animal!  And everyone always asks….”What kind of dog is he???????”  He is GORGEOUS - inside and out!

That was our lucky day when we connected with you!

Hope you and your family are all well.

Sara and Cody,

This is the best dog in the whole world!   At 9 months of age, he should be in the throws of teenage naughtiness, and he is just a charming, furry, pleaser instead.

We were dogsitting my mom's dogs for a month whole she traveled, and my whole goal was to get a photo 9f the 4 of them together. Wilson (nee Koala) taught them all how to hold still and smile.

His favorite things are Trudog "fancy food," the neighbor toddler boy, Walmart oinking pig toys, and jumping on Cleo's bed to wake her up for school.  He is tolerant and patient. I'm pretty sure he's our groomers favorite dog she sees.

I hope the Christmas holiday was good to you and wish you a great 2018.

"There are a few pictures of Keeley below. She is such a joy to have! We just love her (even though she made it almost impossible to build our garden because she kept jumping in the dirt!!).

She started her puppy classes and when she's done with them she has always played so hard she just passes out in the car. People are continually amazed at what a well behaved puppy she is though and she is about as sweet as they come!"

"Hi Sara and Cody,

Just thought I would give you a quick update on Keeley. She is doing very well and loves being the queen of the castle (and she very much is). She sleeps anywhere and everywhere she can, including, but not limited to sharing Charlie and my pillows at night!

She is an INCREDIBLY smart puppy. Her potty training is going well and while she has the rare accident it isn't usually her fault, she goes down to the door and waits, but sometimes we miss the signals. Everyone that comes across her remarks on how calm and gorgeous she is. She had her first haircut and her groomer was shocked at how well she took all of it. She said that Keeley was hands down the best behaved dog she had had in there and couldn't believe she was only 3 months old! Recently, she was the belle of the ball at my wedding shower. She loves being around people and never ever barks at anyone unless she is playing. She is also not sensitive to loud noises (which we attribute to your training them with the noise machine). Because she is so well behaved and so smart, we are considering adding one of her siblings (maybe a golden doodle) to our family sooner rather than later.

Anyways, we hope her siblings are doing as well she is and I have included a couple photos below.

Hope all is well!"

Hi Cody,

I was just looking at the puppy website & thought I should send it some more Rory photos.

He's still the greatest & smartest dog around. Very cuddly & easy going, but also protective & loyal to his family.

He just got his hair done for the holidays & hasn't stopped staring at himself in the mirror. He is hysterical!

I have Rory or Prancer! He's such an awesome puppy.

People fall in love with him everywhere. I have people who are non-animal people & even cat people tell me how obsessed with him they are.

"Hi Cody and Sara,

Parker is the love of our lives! Thank you so much! He is such a calm and gentle dog, but also loves his outside time! We go through soooo many Frisbees a month the people at the pet store hardly believe they are all for one dog!

He is also a water lover, super funny with a hose! We were also able to take him to the lake and he did great swimming and even sitting in a kayak for a paddle around the lake.

We love him so much and were wondering if you expect another litter soon? I've also attached some recent photos.
Thank you!"

"My fiancé and I picked up the love of our life in February.  She was named Cupid but we changed her name to Sydney or Syd for short.

She is such a wonderful puppy.  She is a blessing in our life. She does not have a mean bone in her body.  She is such a cuddler. She just melts when you pick her up.  She loves her tummy rubs and will lay immediately and show her belly when you start to scratch her.

She is about 20 pounds now. We live on a lake and have tried the whole swimming thing. She is not too fond of the water yet.

She has the softest coat of any dog I have ever met. Attached are some pictures of her.  Thank you for breeding such an amazing dog."

"Here are a couple current photos of Lando for your updates page.  He's currently about 17 lbs and slightly shorter than my parents cocker spaniel.  Lando is doing great and he loves playing with any toy we give him.

He's really smart (sometimes a little too smart :)) and very easily trainable.

He loves going for walks and then snuggling on the couch for a long time.

Everyone we meet can't help but comment on how adorable Lando is.

"I  can't fully explain the happiness we feel in having Mambo in our family.  He is the most joyful animal...always ready to kiss, loves being loved, loves his bellyrubs and is just so playful and friendly.  He and Leeza are now best buddies...and play together as if they have known each other for years!

He  also is ONE GORGEOUS dog!  Everyone always stops to comment on him.  His coloring is so unusual and beautiful...lots of light gray in contrast to the charcoal...and then that one black leg (amazing conversation starter).  He is now almost 18 pounds!  It looks like he should weigh more but it is all fluff!  Underneath there is one little body that really shows when he comes out of the pool.

This picture was just taken tonight after his first grooming...so he is really fluffy.  He is getting that poodle snout and is just so handsome!  As you can tell, I can't get enough of him!  My husband complains Mambo gets more kisses than him!

Will send more pics later...just wanted to touch base.  AND say thank you for helping to create this joy in our lives!

-Update from Mambo's parents

Picture
Picture
"MAMBO is the most delightful puppy...and is now feeling at home with his sister LEEZA! At first, Leeza wasn't too sure about him...but now they play for hours.  Leeza has a pull toy that she teases mambo with...and he chases her around the pool after the toy. The most amazing part is that he always catches up with her and grabs a hold of it.  and then they run in tandem as neither will let go!

They love being together...whether napping or "sunbathing". That's Mambo on the chaise lounge taking a sunbath. Don't you wish you were him! We think Mambo loves living in Florida...he even had his first swimming lesson yesterday. He's not too sure yet about the pool...we will go in everyday and get him used to the water.

Anyway...just wanted to bring you up to date! He continues to be MR. ADORABLE and the sweetest little boy! Boy...did we luck out!
Stay warm up there in Wisconsin."
